Maker comment

Hi Product Hunt, I am the maker of 24 Solar Terms.

I built this app because I wanted a lightweight way to keep traditional seasonal time visible in daily life. Instead of opening a calendar app to check dates, you can place the current solar term on your iPhone or iPad home screen and see where you are in the yearly rhythm.

The current version includes:

  • Home screen widgets for the current and next solar term.
  • A year calendar widget that marks solar-term days across the full year.
  • Lunar-date display on cards and widgets.
  • Optional constellation information based on solar longitude.
  • Multiple visual themes, including illustration, ink-style food, 72 pentads, and classic artwork-inspired themes.
  • A relaxation tab with seasonal audio and video.
  • Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese.
  • Southern hemisphere mode, which keeps the astronomical dates while adapting seasonal display content.

The app is intentionally quiet and focused. It is not a feed or a productivity dashboard. It is a small daily reminder that time also moves through seasons, weather, plants, food, and cultural memory.

I would love feedback on the widget design, the year calendar widget, and whether the constellation and relaxation features feel useful or distracting.
